The MilEx System
The Modular Integrated Loadcarriers – External system (MILEX) is a highly effective and widely used modular equipment load-carrying system, based on the standard USA/NATO Fuel Can carrier, commonly known as the “Jerry Can” holder. The MILEX system is characterized by its reliability, standardization, safety, weatherproof qualities, interchangeability according to needs, and ease of operation. Tackling the historical challenges of vehicle-borne load-carrying systems, the development of MILEX began over the last decade. The system is designed around three key components that work together to equip users with their needs and allow for easy expansion and modification as required.
THE THREE COMPONENTS
1. HOLDERS: MILEX holders, the ubiquitous Fuel Can or “Jerry can” holders, available in single or multiple configurations to fit almost any transport equipment type: land, sea or air. (MILEX Holder dimensions = Min L 370mm X Min W 185mm X Max H 300). Note that MILEX standards specify full rectangular profile meaning the cheaper round
profile Holders do not meet the MILEX standards. Height must allow for the Load Carrier lid latch to be used when the Load Carrier is in the Holder.
2. LOAD CARRIERS: Vital equipment loads in strong, standardised size containers to fit the holders, the containers are weatherproof & specially configured to complete different mission requirements. (MILEX Carrier dimensions = Max L 350mm x Max W 170mm x Max H 470mm)
3. CONNECTORS: Where required, connectors between the vehicle/other equipment and the MILEX system such as electrical, air or water.
