Holders and Load Carriers have been in worldwide use since the 1930’s and nearly all standard MILEX sized fuel/water cans & holders in use today fit these dimensions. Some recent jerry can fuel/water/other products have increased in size beyond these dimensions and some older/cheaper holders do not meet these standards. If the Holder has a lid, to meet the MILEX Standards, the Holder lid (once open/removed) should allow the MILEX LoadCarrier latch and lid to be opened

The global standard MILEX holder has a full rectangular cross section at the base and an open top. All our products fit these MILEX standard holders.

Some cheaper holders have a rounded rather than full rectangular base profile, which can reduce the space available so that MILEX STANDARD LoadCarrier products will not fit. Please use a cardboard template cut to our base dimensions of 330mm X 160mm to check for easy fit & if your holders are compatible. If not you will need to change your holder.

Some cheaper holders also have rounded or restricted height tops rather than the MILEX Standard open top holders or full square tops. Please check your existing or proposed holders to make sure you have MILEX Holder Standard dimensions rectangular space available through to more than 460mm above base. If not you may have to delete the top, modify it or change your holder. Note that your Holder height must allow for the Load Carrier lid latch to be used when the Load Carrier is in the Holder. This allows the LoadCarrier lid to be opened within the Holder so that it may be effectively used.

All MILEX products are designed so that regular access is only required through the top lid. In most circumstances no regular access is required through the side therefore no special access holes are required.

While MILEX products are designed to meet military standards, NVH and Impacts should be minimised to protect the case, the contents, the holder and the environment. Consider using rubber mat (or similar) between the contents & the case and between the case & the holder (base & sides) to reduce NVH and Impacts. Any scratches should be treated with rust inhibiting paint to prolong the life of the case.

Each MILEX product has a padlock latch on the Lid for security (you supply the padlock). For added security MILEX products can be chained or locked to your holder by passing the chain through the metal handle on the lid of each MILEX product.

Please follow the instructions for each product carefully. Careful use can reduce wear and tear including scuffs/scratches, abrasions, discolouration, or minor denting. Touch up any bare metal on a regular basis using rust proofing metal paint. Stainless steel products are highly resistant to corrosion/rust, but are not corrosion/rust proof, so please treat these accordingly to prolong their life.

All products (except the Freedom NRG Lithium Power Station ) are covered by our 12 Month Guarantee. That means that we have your gear covered in the case of any unexpected malfunction within the first year of reasonable use.

The Freedom NRG Lithium Power Station is covered by a 5 year warranty from the legendary Muller Energy and is governed by their T’s & C’s.

We will not be able to repair damage caused by typical wear and tear or product misuse. Common examples of wear and tear include scuffs/scratches, abrasions, discoloration, or minor denting.

Yes! We accept returns on unused products (except toilets which cannot be returned for hygiene safety reasons). Unused products can be returned for a refund, minus the cost of shipping and restocking. You must pay the return costs. Please email us at support@freedomoffgridgear.com to initiate a return.
